OnePlus teams up with DxO Labs for camera enhancement on the OnePlus 5

OnePlus has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will be called the OnePlus 5. There are several rumours and revelations floating around the web about the OnePlus 5, but today, it is officially confirmed that the camera on the smartphone will come in partnership with a DxO labs. OnePlus staff member diegohnz has confirmed on its official blog that the company has teamed up with DxO, which is renowned name in image testing and processing.

The blog post also emphasised on OnePlus’ aim to enhance the camera prowess on its smartphones, which led the company to reach out to the experts. Like the competing OEMs, OnePlus also realises the increasing popularity and widespread of smartphone cameras, which was certainly the need of the hour to make a mark in current market.

Although OnePlus did not reveal many details about this partnership, so we’ll have to wait and see how DxO Labs will be involved in the making of OnePlus 5’s camera. However, OnePlus looks convinced about the fact that the next flagship will ship with the abilities to capture “some of the clearest photos around”.

As of now, the OnePlus 5 is rumoured to have a dual-camera lens. It is also expected to the run the latest Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC and Adreno 540 GPU coupled with 6GB of RAM according to AnTuTu. The OnePlus 5 is expected to launch this summer, but no exact dates have been announced yet.

After a spree of leaks and rumours, it is the first official announcement about the smartphone. It would be interesting to see what OnePlus has up its sleeve to impress the photography buffs. If the company hits the right spot, it will be able to appeal another segment of smartphone consumers.
