Don't like the Moto Z or the Moto G4 ? There might be good news for you as Motorola seems to be working on a new smartphone series called Moto M.

A new smartphone series?
A device with the codename XT1662 has been spotted on the Teena certification site, which might be the upcoming Moto M.

The leak reveals key specifications of the device along with pictures that showcase the device from all angles.

Rumored specifications
A device with the model number XT 1663 was spotted on GFX Bench a few weeks ago. The listing revealed a device with a 4.6-inch fullHD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 16MP rear camera, a 8MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 1.9 GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor. This device is said to be the upcoming Moto M.

However, the listing on the Teena website claims the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch display. As the model number (XT1662) is extremely similar to the model number of the device spotted on GFX Bench (XT1663), it is speculated that the Teena listing is of a larger Moto M Plus variant.

The Teena listing also points to a 3,000mAh battery, 4G LTE support and dimensions of 151x75x8mm.

A new design
The Teena listing also sheds some light on the Moto M's design. The images on the site point to a full metal design, with antenna lines at the top and bottom and no physical home button. It also shows a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, along with the Motorola logo at the bottom of the device.

This design seems to a departure from the one seen on the Moto Z and the Moto G4, as both of them have the fingerprint sensor on the front and the Motorola logo housed in Moto's traditional dimple at the back.

The Moto M is said to be placed between the Moto Z and Moto G line-up and will be unveiled somewhere later this year.
