Asus rolls out VoLTE support for Zenfone 3 series smartphones

Much needed update.

Asus has announced the availability of VoLTE support for its Zenfone 3 Series smartphones. In a press release from the company, it is said that the update will be rolled out via a firmware OTA which is already available to users.

The list of devices receiving the VoLTE updates has almost every Zenfone 3 series smartphone launched in 2016. The devices include:

Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.7″ ZS570KL
Zenfone 3 5.2” ZE520KL
Zenfone 3 5.5” ZE552KL
Zenfone 3 Laser ZC551KL
Zenfone 3 Max 5.2″ ZC520TL
Zenfone 3 Max 5.5” ZC553KL
Zenfone 3S Max 5.2″ ZC521TL

Apart from these smartphone, Asus has also included some older Zenfones in the list. These include Zenfone Max ZC550KL, Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL, and Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE ZB500KL.

Asus has also confirmed that VoLTE update for Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL) and Zenfone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) will be available soon.

Latest Zenfone 3 series smartphone
Asus recently added Zenfone 3s Max to its line-up which comes with a 5000mAh in a compact form factor. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based ZenUI 3.0. It sports a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and has 2.5D contoured edge. The smartphone runs on an MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, stacked with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage.
