Android 7.0 Nougat arrives for the Asus ZenFone 3

Asus has begun the Android 7.0 Nougat rollout for the ZenFone 3, with both the 32GB and 64GB models receiving the update. The update is now available in the Philippines and will surely spread to other countries soon.

The update brings with it Nougat’s split-screen multi-tasking, customisable quick settings, an improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications as well as Daydream support for the Moto Z.

Moreover, Android Nougat also comes with a battery savings feature feature called ‘Doze on the go’ which enables Marshmallow’s Doze mode even when your device is in a pocket. Asus has also reportedly made tweaks to the ZEN UI with the Nougat update.

Zenfone 3 in detail
The Asus Zenfone 3 is a comprehensive upgrade over its predecessor and brings with it a all new full metal uni-body design, the Snapdragon 652 processor and a fantastic camera setup.

It comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage for Rs 21,999 and one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for Rs 27,999. The Asus Zenfone 3 has a 5.5-inch fullHD display, with a pixel density of 441 ppi.

The 16MP rear camera on the Zenfone 3 comes with laser autofocus, as well as phase detection autofocus. There is also an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies.
